What is MAH CET?

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MAH CET is a computer-based management entrance test conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to MBA courses in over 300 institutes in the state of Maharashtra. It is officially known as MAH MBA/MMS-CET.

The post-test session is a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in which the candidates will be allotted seats in participating colleges on the basis of their scores. Candidates having valid score of CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA can participate in the CAP process directly.

Am I eligible for MAH CET?

The minimum eligibility criteria for MAH CET is graduation. You can apply through any of these 4 candidatures:

  • Maharashtra State Candidature
  • All India Candidature
  • Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidature
  • NRI / OCI / PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries

You need to fulfil any one of the following conditions:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent from a university recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities, with the required marks.
  • You are appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination.
  • You have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results.

Required Marks:

  • 50% if you belong to Maharashtra State Candidature General category, All-India Candidature, Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidature or NRI Candidature.
  • 45% if you belong to Maharashtra State Candidature backward class categories:Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Nomadic Tribes – A (NT A) [VimuktaJati (VJ) & De-notified Tribes (DT)], Nomadic Tribes B, C and D, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Special Backward Classes (SBC) and Socially and Economically Backward classes and Persons with Disability (PwD) category.
