What is SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) exam?

The SBI Clerk exam recruits employees as Junior Associates in the clerical cadre of the State Bank of India.

For the year 2020, a total of 5454 vacancies were released across the different categories.

How much salary can I expect?
  • 17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920.
  • The starting Basic Pay is Rs.19900/- (17900/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates)
Am I eligible for SBI Clerk?

Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualifications:

  • You must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification which is recognised by the Central Government.
  • You can apply even if you are a final year/semester student provided you can produce your proof of graduation on the date of the interview.

Age Limit:

At the time of the registration, your age should NOT be less than 20 years or more than 28 years.

3 PWD (Gen/EWS) 10 years

5 PWD (OBC) 13 years
6 Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen Actual period of service rendered in defence services + 3 years, (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age of 50 years.
7 Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands & who are not remarried. 7 years (Subject to a maximum age limit of 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC & 40 years for SC/ST candidates)

NOTE:

  • Candidates seeking age relaxation are required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of joining, if qualified. No change in the category of any candidate is permitted after registration of online application. No correspondence/ email/phone will be entertained in this regard.

Cumulative age relaxation will not be available either under the above items or in combination with any other items.

When can I take the test?

The test is conducted according to the Junior Associate vacancies created in SBI and associated organizations.

What is the testing process?

The SBI Clerk testing process consists of three stages:

  • SBI Clerk Prelims
  • SBI Clerk Mains

The marks obtained in the Prelims test is only considered for qualification in the Mains test.

What is the paper pattern?

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
