The SBI Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO/SO) exam is a computer based exam conducted by the State bank of India to recruit Specialist Officers. A Specialist Officer, as the name suggests, is the banking personnel that take care of all back ground activities in bank in their respective specialized areas.  These officers are appointed by banks for very specific roles as per their expertise and educational & professional background. They plan and prepare the advertising budget and negotiate with ad agencies and procure additional services from them.

In 2021, there are a total of 81 vacancies across all categories for the recruitment of SBI Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO/SO) in April 2021, whereas, in August 2021 there were a total of 46 vacancies for Assistant Manager – Civil Engineer and Assistant manager – Electrical Engineer..

Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualifications:

• You must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government.
• You can apply even if you are a final year/semester student provided you can produce your proof of graduation on the date of the interview.
• The educational criteria and experience requirements vary depending upon the post applied for.

Age:

• Your age must be between 21 and 30 years.

For some posts, the maximum eligible age of an applicant can be stretched to 62 years.

The test is conducted according to the SCO/SO vacancies created in SBI and associated organizations. In general, the date of examination is in May and September.

The testing process includes three stages:

• Written Examination.
• Personal Interview or Group Discussion.
• Document Verification.

• The time duration for Paper-I is 90 minutes.
• The time duration for Paper-II is 45 minutes.
• Negative marking will be as per the SBI rules.
• For Deputy Manager (Internal Audit) SCO posts, Paper-I will have a duration of 90 minutes, and Paper-II will have a duration of 60 minutes.
