TISS National Entrance Test (TISSNET) is a national level computer-based test for more than 50 Master’s Degree programmes offered by Tata Institute of Social Sciences'(TISS) Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad campuses. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three programmes indicating the order of preference.
The minimum eligibility criteria for TISSNET is graduation. You need to fulfil any one of the following conditions:
- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
- You are appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination.

- if you are studying in a 3-year degree programme you should have passed in all the subjects in the 1st to the 4th
semesters.

- if you are studying in a 4-year degree programme you should have passed in all the subjects in the 1st to the 6th
semesters.

- You have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results.

General Awareness

Sectional cut off for General Awareness is applied for qualifying the TISS-NET. Candidates not scoring minimum cut-off mark for the General Awareness will not be qualified for TISS NET irrespective of the aggregate score.
Sectional Cut Off (SCO) applied :
- GN, EWS, KM and AF – 35% i.e., 14 Marks
- PWD and OBC(NC) – 30% i.e., 12 Marks
- SC and ST – No sectional cut off applied
